0DTE mode: hour by hour. Set days to expiry to 0 and the board stops
projecting days and starts projecting hours, stepping across what is left of the session
to the 4:00pm ET close. Half-hour steps once under three hours remain. Days to expiry
becomes time to expiry in hours and minutes, defaulting to the time actually left if the
market is open. A position expiring tomorrow is offered the same view without being
forced into it. Intraday options are priced on a trading-day basis by default, since the
market prices the session it can trade rather than the hours it is shut, and
the methodology page now spells out both
conventions. The board is honest about its limits here: a note explains that real 0DTE
decay is lumpier than the model assumes, and the last column before expiry is marked as
the least reliable one.
Solve for IV. Enter what the option currently trades at and the
calculator backs out the implied volatility that reproduces that price, instead of
making you hunt for it on a chain. In 0DTE mode it solves on its own as you type, since
intraday IV goes stale in minutes.
A simpler starting screen. The panel now shows only what most
positions need. Spreads, income mode, compare, roll, take profit and stop loss, and the
finer inputs moved behind one Advanced button, which remembers whether
you leave it open. Open a link or a saved scenario that uses any of them and it expands
on its own, so nothing is ever hidden from the scenario you loaded.
One price box instead of two. "Your entry price" and "Market price"
were the same number to most people, so they are now a single
Option current price. It sets what the board measures gain and loss
against and feeds Solve for IV. Old links keep working.
Clearer board dates. A dated column now prices that day's 9:30am ET
open rather than an unstated moment, and expiration gets its own Exp
column showing pure intrinsic value at the 4:00pm close, so the last day of an option's
life is no longer squeezed into a date heading.
Required inputs say so. Leave one of the boxes the calculation needs
empty and it turns red and tells you, instead of leaving a blank board unexplained.
"Horizon" is now "Day range", to pair with Price range beside it.

Exit targets on the board. Set an optional take-profit or stop-loss percent and the board marks, in each column, the first price where your position hits it. The markers are colorblind-safe and save and share with the scenario.
Roll analyzer. A new Roll button pins your current option and scaffolds a candidate 30 days further out, then shows the net debit or credit and your new cumulative breakeven. New rolling options guide.
For teachers. A classroom page with the embed snippet and a ready-to-run theta exercise, free with no signup.
Open-source engine. The Black-Scholes pricing engine that produces every number here is now a standalone MIT-licensed package with its full test suite.
Multi-leg strategies. Price a vertical spread, straddle, strangle, iron condor, or a custom position of up to four legs. The board, breakevens, net debit or credit, saving, compare, and share links all work on the whole position. New vertical spreads guide.
Income mode. Model a covered call or a cash-secured put: premium collected, breakeven, max profit, static and annualized return, and the net position Greeks (theta is positive, so time decay works for you). New covered call calculator and cash-secured put calculator pages.
Fixes. Income mode was still showing the buyer "model value vs entry" line; it now shows the income metrics and net Greeks instead. Fixed low-contrast mode toggles and footer links in dark mode, and tuned caching so a new release shows up immediately.
Share your board as an image. A new button renders the projection board to a branded PNG, with the native share sheet on mobile and a download on desktop.
Paste a contract. Paste a broker string or OCC symbol (like AAPL 9/18/26 $230 C) and the option type, strike, and days to expiry fill in automatically.
Expected move. The position panel now shows the 1σ expected move by expiry, and the board rows inside that band are shaded. New expected-move glossary page.
Privacy-friendly interaction counts (whether a visit used, saved, or shared the calculator), alongside the existing cookieless page counts. Still no cookies, no personal data.
Explicitly welcomed AI crawlers in robots.txt, plus small link, wording, and glossary tidy-ups.
